While in Boise this week I took some time to visit several of our stores.  Idaho has a lot of volcanic rock.  Many places have rocks that have been moved to build roads or for some kind od land development.  These rock are unusual.  Someone much smarter than I could explain the black to white colors on the rocks.  Remember in photography and physics 101 that the black and white are colors.  I could not help myself from taking a photograph and doing the “black and White” thing in post.

The Yellowstone River is beautiful.  It meanders through the park until it gets to the grand canyon of  Yellowstone.  The it reveals it’s quantity and power.  Just before the upper falls is the bridge to the parking for both falls.  Most of my trips I spend on the bridge.  It’s a peaceful place that brings a sense of reality of life to me.  A personal time at a very personal place for me

They are everywhere.

In abundance!

The humorous thing is to watch new visitors as they see their first Buffalo.  Not knowing that around most corners are more buffalo, the new park visitors are thrilled to see their first wild buffalo.

One could spend days on end photographing these behemoths.

My most recent visit to Yellowstone was at the very least Horrible!

Spent 6 of the 8 days in the Hotel.

The last day I found a beautiful bull Elk.  Though I saw many, this one was unusual.  He was larger and older than the others I had followed.  More importantly he posed on a ridge with late day side lighting. “A Kodak Moment”.
