For amber waves of grain,For purple mountain majestiesAbove the fruited plain!America! America!God shed his grace on thee,And crown thy good with brotherhoodFrom sea to shining sea.

2. Oh, beautiful for pilgrim feet,Whose stern, impassioned stressA thoroughfare of freedom beatAcross the wilderness!America! America!God mend thine ev’ry flaw,Confirm thy soul in self-control,Thy liberty in law.
-
3. Oh, beautiful for heroes provedIn liberating strife,Who more than self their country loved,And mercy more than life!America! America!May God thy gold refine,Till all success be nobleness,And ev’ry gain divine.

4. Oh, beautiful for patriot dreamThat sees beyond the yearsThine alabaster cities gleam,Undimmed by human tears!America! America!God shed his grace on thee,And crown thy good with brotherhoodFrom sea to shining sea.I about crashed when I saw this flag on the side of a house at the front door. This really bothered me! The flag deserves better. But is this a replication of how are country “feels” right now? I have hope that the problems plaguing the United state of America will get a new and fresh look after the 2016 elections. If the candidate that wins has core values similar to that of those that founded this country will feel better!
Well said, my friend!
A cascade of emotions reverberate through me as I view this post. My eyes well with tears…
